AMERICANAFEST 2022 Mobile App Launches With Full Schedule

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (August 3, 2022) —  As AMERICANAFEST nears, the festival unveils its full schedule with the launch of the 2022 mobile app, presented by Concord, ahead of the Sept. 13-17th conference in Nashville, TN. This year’s event will take place across 36 venues, showcasing more than 175 artists and bands, with nearly 300 events available for attendees.

Declared “the coolest music scene today” by The New York Times, the five-day festival and conference event will bring together award-winning legends, trailblazing mainstays and buzz-worthy new artists for its 22nd year, with the critically acclaimed Americana Honors & Awards show taking place on Sept. 14th at Music City’s famed Ryman Auditorium. (Tickets to the awards will be available for purchase by the public at a later date.)

This year’s 45+ AMERICANAFEST conference panels will touch on a variety of themes including artist interviews, an inside look at the music industry, embracing inclusion and striving for systemic change, and crafting a musical career. 

Highlights include: an in-depth career retrospective with the Indigo Girls and NPR Music’s Ann Powers; a discussion on the crucial role of quality data, with Kris Ahrend, CEO of The Mechanical Licensing Collective (The MLC); tutorials for artists on short form video best practices for Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and more; an exploration of label services and the artists these companies best serve; a look at how tools such as genealogy and musical storytelling can be used in entertainment and media to preserve history and build community in the face of rising censorship; using concept albums to re-map the past, present and future, with artists Leyla McCallaJake Blount and Kaia Kater; and a live taping of “American Songster Radio” hosted by GRAMMY winner and two-time EMMY nominee, Dom Flemons, with guest Ray Benson of Asleep at the Wheel.

2022 AMERICANAFEST Festival Passes are now on sale to the public at $175. Available online here, Festival Passes allow admission into all evening showcase venues and select sanctioned special events. Conference+Festival Passes are currently on sale at the rate of $399 for Americana Music Association Members/$499 for the public.
