Any good medieval city building games?

hi
i’m wondering if anyone knows about a good medieval city building game. something like anno 1404 maybe. i see a lot of people calling banished a medieval city building game. frankly i think you have no idea what the medieval period is if you think that. that game is set in the late 1700s at the earliest, far outside the medieval period. im talking something 15th 14th or maybe even 10th century. something like manor lords but… well released. im also looking for a true city builder. not a base building game like age of empires. is anno 1404 really the best we have right now?
