The new-born game was attractive to gamers who liked to code and design gaming worlds. Gamers at that time saw the game as a source tool that can be used to create things using the basic blocks that had been set up by Persson. It was only in 2011 that the game’s beta phase began once publisher Mojang grew interested in the project and began to fund its development. The full version of the video game would be released shortly afterwards.
