Believe it or not, there are dozens of apps devoted entirely to keeping poo diaries – in the hope you can learn something about your health from studying your movements.
You actually can tell quite a bit about your health from your plop-plops – as our helpful poo chart will tell you (for free).
But if you’re looking to get more in-depth with your faeces, there are apps for everything from (ahem) logging your movements to noting down which toilets you’ve defiled with them.
1) Poop Log
POOP LOG Source: iPhone (app store)
This great free Android app lets you log your bowel movements by type, according to the Bristol Stool Scale.
The Scale lets you work out if stools are healthy – and the app lets you record your stools by type, and even take photos.
2) Places I’ve Pooped
PLACES I’VE POOPED Source: iPhone (app store)
This lets you keep a diary of toilets you’ve moved your bowels in – like FourSquare for turds.
3) Poo Keeper

This app lets you snap a picture of each poo, with wine-tasting-style notes .
4) Bowel Mover Pro
BOWEL MOVER PRO Source: iPhone (app store)
This app lets you track the number and type of your poos, and graph the info against information such as your stress levels, how much water you had, and whether your meals were gluten-free.
5) Poo Diary
POO DIARY Source: Google Play Store
Similar to Poop Log but for Android, this app can also tell you if you are constipated.
